Rodney WALKER (2010)

1950 - Born in Tamworth on May 14th.

1963 - Fist professional booking was with Johnny Ashcroft in the 2TM Tamworth Presentation.

Performed with a number of bands around the Tamworth and North West area as a bass player and vocalist/

Rodney is best known for his comedy material and for many years was virtually the face of the Tamworth Country Music Festival with his one man band. Rodney would walk up and down Peel Street performing with his one man band contraption and also featured in the Cavalcade.

In later years the one man band contraption became too heavy to carry around for long periods of time but still appeared in the cavalcade on the bacak of a truck.

Rodney has now become well known as a clown and entertains at many functions inthis role, as well as still performing.

2010 - Inducted into the Hands of Fame.
