Norm SCOTT (1986)

Norm Scott

1907 – Born

Norm’s music career spanned the 1920’s to 1940’s mainly performing around the Sydney area.

1925 – Formed his first Hawaiian group, long before the establishment of the Sydney Hawaiian Club.

1927 – Performed a live half hour weekly spot on radio stations 2BL and 2FC.

Had a country music program on 2GB. This was where the McKean Sisters first performed.

Moved away from Hawaiian music and with his brother Arthur became the “Singing Stockmen”.

1985 – EMI reissued their early “78” recordings on a LP.

1986 – Inducted into the Hands of Fame.
