Michael ROYCROFT (1992)

Michael Roycroft

1952 – Born on September 15th in New Zealand.

1962 – Michael was playing country rock.

1970 – With his wife Bed moved to Melbourne to commence an apprenticeship in upholstery.

While he was learning about textiles, Deb was studying administration. Combining their skill they started their own business. By the age of 24 they had a staff of 60 , and by age 27 a chain of 10 retain stores across New Zealand.

With his business fully established Michael entered music full time.

Michael has performed at Nashville’s “Fan Fair”.

1983 – New Zealand’s “Entertainer Of The Year”.

1987 – Sold his businesses and moved to Tamworth.

1992 – Golden Guitar for Vocal Group of Duo with “As Far as this Feelin’ Will Take Us” with Jan Cooper. Inducted into the Hands of Fame.
