Karen Lynne

Growing up in a large family, raised on family sing-a-longs and playing a homemade guitar, Karen's love of music has always been an integral part of her life.

1990 – 97 TWICE WINNER - "Female Vocal" Category of the CCMA Semi Professional Competition.

TWICE WINNER - "Best Performance of an Australian Composition" Category of the CCMA Semi Professional Competition.

WINNER - with her band "Shades of Grey" of the "Best Band" Category, of the CCMA Semi Professional Competition.

1998 - WINNER - TSA National Country Songwriting Contest for her song "Grandma Used to Say" co-written with Heather Field and James Gillard

1999 - WINNER - Overall "Best Contemporary Song" Category of the TSA Qld Branch for her song "The Rush" co-written with Pat Drummond.

WINNER - "Country Song of the Year" Category of the TSA Qld Branch for her song "The Rush" co-written with Pat Drummond.

1999 - Release of her debut CD, "Labour of Love", which featured 3 of Karen's original compositions.

1999 - In July she was the first Australian to enter the Top 10 of the Nashville "International Country Music Association" - Non Major Label Chart (at the same time she also made it to No. 28 in the mixed Major/Non Major Label chart). Entered into a partnership with Pat Drummond.

2000 - WINNER - Horizon Award, "Best Song - Country Sound", Red Gum Festival Songwriting Competition - "Grandma Used to Say", co-written with Heather Field and James Gillard.

Released her second album - with Pat Drummond called "Six Days in December". The debut single "The Rush", notched up wins in three categories of the Qld Songwriting Competition - "General Country", "Best Contemporary Song" and "Overall Best Contemporary Song".

2001- WINNER - "Contemporary Country Song of the Year", TSA Songwriter Salute Awards for her song "The Rush" co-written with Pat Drummond.

2002 – Release of her third album "Blue Mountain Rain", a bluegrass album.

2002 - Karen's fourth album, a Country solo effort "Second Wind" released.

2006 – Released the album “Changes”.

 

2007 – Released the album “The Singles” – a reissue of the radio singles from her previous albums.

2008 – Released the album “Long Journey Home” an acoustic album with Pat Drummond.
