Paul LESTER (1979)

Paul Lester

1938 - Born Kevin Flight Lester in Ridgley, Tasmania on the 6th of June.

1946 – He started to play the guitar listening to records and picking up hints from touring musicians.

Upon leaving school he took up a trade in butchering with country music being an enjoyable hobby.

Mid 1950’s – joined a local dance band.

1959 – His career as a guitarist commenced when spotted by Rick and Thel during their Tasmanian tour.

Ended up touring with Rick and Thel, Chad Morgan, Gordon Parsons, Trevor Day and others as well as playing on their albums.

1967 – First attempt at his own recording on Sunset Records. Later signed with W & G.

1979 – Inducted into the Hands of Fame.
