Nola HIRST (1984)

Nola Hirst

1938 – Born on May 18th.

Nola was involved in the music scene from the late 1950’s through to the 1980’s. She had looks, personality an outstanding voice and a fine presence and rapport with the audience.

Nola was in demand in the Sydney club scene performing with all the named artists of that time, and for a number of years with Bill Kelly’s “Country Ramblers Band”.

Nola only recorded a few singles and an EP.

She regularly appeared on television music shows.

1970’s – Nola formed a trio with he brother Allan, and sister, Christine, called “The Hirst Trio” and performed on the Australian club circuit.

At the height of her career she suddenly gave it all away to live a simple life.

1984 – Inducted into the Hands of Fame.
